About Us

We are Peter and Candace Wesley, a husband-and-wife team based in Animkii-Wajiw (Thunder Bay), Ontario. Together, we are dedicated to sharing Indigenous stories, culture, and connection through visual art.

Peter Wesley is a self-taught Indigenous visual artist from Ginoogaming First Nation. Inspired by the vibrant beauty of nature and the rich cultural heritage of his people, Peter’s work reflects a deep-rooted passion for storytelling, identity, and tradition. From a young age, he explored his creativity using whatever materials were available, developing a unique style grounded in perseverance and cultural pride.

Candace Wesley works behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. She takes care of logistics, coordinates events, and manages all advertising and social media. Her tireless dedication and support allow Peter to fully focus on his creative process, and together they have built a strong foundation rooted in collaboration, community, and purpose.

Whether it’s through a painting, a mural, or a shared story, our mission is to honor Indigenous voices and keep our traditions alive one artwork at a time.
